Social criteria

Because the working conditions of our producers are also important to us, we place great importance on regularly auditing the social criteria in our production facilities. For an insight, we would like to share some of our certifications with you:

Gots

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) requires compliance with social criteria. The underlying social criteria are based on the core standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO). These standards prohibit, among other things, child and forced labor, provide workers with a safe working environment, and pay a living wage. Further information can be found here:

Product certificates

You can find these certifications on our products, among others:

UV protection

UV protection identifies clothing and shading textiles with functional UV protection that filters out harmful natural UV radiation. The label is awarded in UV protection factor levels with UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) from 15 to 50+, which indicates how much more the clothing protects the skin from direct sunlight. The material has been tested according to the European standard DIN EN 13758-1 and classified according to the Hohenstein Quality Label "UV Protection" program.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's most recognized labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer trust and high product safety. The comprehensive catalog of measures for testing for harmful substances covers current legal regulations and reviews future developments for relevance.

• The regulations on prohibited azo dyes, formaldehyde, nickel, etc. are included in the test catalogue.

• Chemicals that pose a health risk are tested even if they are not yet regulated by law.

• Requirements of Annexes XVII and XIV of the REACH Regulation and the ECHA SVHC candidate list are covered by the testing procedure.

• The OEKO-TEX® laboratory tests include around 100 test parameters and take into account the intended use of the textiles. The more intensive the skin contact of a textile product, the stricter the limits for each product class.

Gots

In both the toy and textile sectors, we have products certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading standard for the processing of textiles (clothing, home textiles, and textile hygiene products) made from certified organically produced natural fibers. It sets strict environmental requirements for the entire textile production chain and simultaneously requires compliance with social criteria (see GOTS Social Criteria).
